Edward Marable Bailey, Sr., 86, of Chase City, VA, passed away on July 5, 2011. He is the son of the late Jasper and Nannie Bailey. He is survived by one daughter Anita Jordan of Goldsboro, NC, one son Edward M. Bailey, Jr. and Beverly of Chase City, VA, one sister Frances Thompson of South Hill, VA, three brothers, Ernest Bailey of Ft. Mitchell, VA, Curtis Bailey of Richmond, VA, and Joseph Bailey of Farmville, VA, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at the Salem Christian Church Cemetery with Military Honors by Post 43.
