Martin A. “Marty” DeSantis passed away on July 4, 2011. He was 75 years old.
A lifelong resident of Malden, Marty was a civil engineer for several construction companies throughout the years. He was a member of the Italian American Citizen Club of Malden and a veteran of the United States Marines.
Marty was the devoted husband of 52 years to Maria (Minichello) DeSantis. He was the beloved father of Joseph M. DeSantis and his wife Shari Solomon of Lincoln, MA and Ria Convery and her husband Edward of Melrose. Marty was the dear brother of the late Joseph H. DeSantis and the cherished grandfather of Zeke and Emilio DeSantis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday July 8th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 7th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
