James T. Shea, 79, of Franklin died suddenly July 4 at his home. He was the husband of Pearl (Roberti) Shea.
Born in Springfield, September 21, 1931, the son of the late John V. and Mabel (Burke) Shea, Mr. Shea was raised in Springfield and had lived in Foxboro and Franklin for most of his life.
Mr. Shea had been the regional manager for the Dart container corporation.
Mr. Shea was a Korean War Veteran of the Air Force where he attained the rank of Sergeant.
He was an avid golfer and had 3 hole in one’s to his credit.
He had been a member of the Foxboro Country Club and was a member of the Foxboro VFW.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James Shea and his wife Meredith of Carmel, California, Michael Shea and his wife Susan of Southboro and Gary Shea of Brigantine, New Jersey.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Dylan, Colleen and Patrick Shea.
His funeral service will be private.
