Jacqueline J. (Provost) Swift, 72, of Natick died July 4 in Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.
Born in Springfield, Mass. June 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Edward and Carol (Bly) Provost, Mrs. Swift was raised in Springfield and had lived in Natick for many years.
She had been an event planner at the former Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick for several years.
She dedicated herself to opening her door to all, whether it was for a cup of coffee or a meal and saving all stray animals that came across her path.
Her friends described Jacqueline as being “incredibly smart with a heart of gold”.
She is survived by her children, David Swift of Fort Collins, CO, Michael Swift of Danielson, CT, Diana-Marie Howard of Arvada, CO, Mark Swift of Lexington, John Swift of Marlboro and Carol Braun of Mendon.
She is also survived by her brother Richard Hogan of Concord, NH, and sisters, Eleanor Rowe and Maureen Wilbur, both of Northborough.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph, Shane, Lauren, Hannah, Abby, Morgan, Mike, Andrew, Leisbeth, Ryan, Timothy and Bronson.
Her graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7 in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin at 1:00 p.m.
