HUDSON, NH - Eleanor May (Peuschel) Spinelli, age 77, a former resident of Tewksbury, died Sunday, July 3, at the Laurel Center in Bedford, NH, after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of Michael J. Spinelli Sr., who died last August 3rd.
She was born in New York City, April 23, 1934, and was raised by her beloved mother, the late Rose Isabelle Peuschel, and step father William Harrison, in the Somerville and Everett areas. After her marriage, she moved to Tewksbury in 1964 to raise her family, and upon retirement moved to Hudson, NH in 1982.
During her early years in Tewksbury, she worked the counter at the Wamesit Bowling Lanes. She later worked as a bookkeeper at D.C.M. Enterprises Inc. in Littleton, MA until her retirement in 2002.
As a resident of Tewksbury, she was active in her family development, as a Girl Scout and Camp Fire Leader, and was a communicant of St. William's Church. She was lovingly described by her children as having been a loving and supportive mom, who entirely and selflessly devoted herself to her family.
She is survived by a son; Michael J. Spinelli Jr. of Hudson, NH, three daughters; Susan Olson and her husband John of Sandown, NH, Diane McGloughlin and her husband Dave of Littleton, MA, and Carol Ciampa of Plaistow, NH twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also sister of the late William Harrison Jr.
Her Funeral Service was held Friday, July 8, in the funeral home. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, will be appreciated.
