Mr. Remo Palmieri, age 81, a Life-long resident of Medford passed away July 2nd in his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Marino). Born in Boston he was the son of the late John and Irene (Caruso) Palmieri.
Remo was a retired foreman and worked for many years with the former Malcom-Kenneth Clothing Co. of Boston, prior to his retirement in 1991. Remo also proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Remo was a handyman and enjoyed working with his hands whether doing carpentry work, wood working or making some of his famous pizza. However his greatest joy came from his loving family. Family was his first priority and he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife Rose, he is survived by their children, Robert Palmieri of Medford, Richard Palmieri and his wife Sue, Rosemarie Bonfiglio and her husband Robert, all of Billerica. He was the loving grandfather of Christina, Mellissa, Richard Jr., Jamie Lee, Diana Rose and Nicholas Robert Palmieri, Sam Marino, Diana Rose and Maria Rose Bonfiglio. He was the loving great grandfather of Adriana and Mia Rose Kepple. He is further survived by his sisters, Mary Zero of Medford and Jenny Massaro of CA, brothers, Mario Palmieri of Medford, and Robert Palmieri of Wakefield.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday, July 7th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with military honors and entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Malden.
