Barbara E. (Vigeant) Belanger of Old Muggett Hill Road, loving wife of Joseph D. Belanger for 29 years, died Friday, July 1, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara met Joe at Bay Path Regional Vocational High School, and graduated in 1979, with her focus in Fashion Design.
She worked with her family at Charlton Well for over 30 years.
In addition to Joe, Barbara leaves her two sons, Eric and Peter Belanger, Peter's wife Alicia (Hanratty) Belanger, and three grandchildren; Connor, Samantha and Emily Belanger, who were the lights of her life. Barbara also leaves her parents, Peter and Mary (Cook) Vigeant, her sister Jean Curtis, her nieces Mary and Laura Yurkevicius of Charlton, her father and mother-in-law, Albert and Elizabeth (Benkowski) Belanger of Sturbridge, her sister-in-law, Ann Marie Connor, her brothers-in-law, Dennis and John Belanger, their families, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family and friends of Barbara wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful, caring staff of The Overlook at Masonic Home, where Barbara spent her final days in peace and comfort.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 4 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd. in Charlton.
A Funeral Mass for Barbara will be Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H.Putnam Rd.,Ext. Burial will be in West Ridge Cemetery.
