Patrick John “Packey” Concannon, 66, of Medway died July 1 after a brave fight with cancer.
Born in Edmonton, England, January 28, 1945, the son of the late Patrick and Nora (Gildea) Concannon, Mr. Concannon in the 1970’s adopted Medway as his new home and acquired many friends that became like family, none more important than is beloved dog Whiskey. A father figure to many, Josh and Trish Alger held a particular place in his heart.
He took pride in and was respected for his job as a licensed sprinkler contractor.
Packey enjoyed golf and spending time with friends. His smile and his frank but honest attitude will be missed.
He leaves a daughter and son and 2 grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers Martin and Peter Concannon of England and many friends.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 6 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
