Curtis Barr 59 of Third Ave. died Friday at home. He was the husband of Tina (Boivin) Barr. Curtis was born in Newberry, SC a son of Charlie and Lucy (Jessie) He was a forklift operator for CVS / Mark Stevens Co. for twenty years before leaving due to illness. Curtis served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons Thomas Barrr of Camp Pendleton, CA, Curtis and Jordan Barr both of Woonsocket, a daughter Katrina Barr of Woonsocket, four brothers, James and Calvin Brown both of SC, Willie J. Brown of MD, and Danny Harmon of Woonsocket, four sisters Betty Smith of MI, Sara Leaks of SC, Annette Quarles of Washington DC, and Jeannette Jones of MD, and five grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Joe Lewis Brown, Terrence Wilson, Johnny Earl Henderson, and Barbara Cherry.
Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday 4-6 PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a service beginning at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 in his memory would be appreciated.
