Betty Jean (Weaver) Mattson of Somerville died Friday, July 1, at Lahey Clinic Burlington, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 51. Betty was born in Medford, daughter of the late Francis E. and Maryanne A. (Maccarone) Weaver. She worked in the banking field as a processor, taking payments and credit card transactions for various firms. Family was foremost in her life and she cherished time spent with her daughter and granddaughter; as well as her large extended family. She also enjoyed traveling.
Betty is survived by her beloved daughter, Christine Mattson of Somerville. Cherished Nana of Miranda Mattson, sister of Francis “Frank” Weaver and aunt of Jen Mattson all of Somerville.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday July 7th at 9 AM followed by a graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8.
