Acushnet – Timothy E. Sherman, 55, of Acushnet died at home February 7, 2004 after a long illness. He was the husband of Dale F. (Mattson) Sherman.
He was born in Acushnet, son of the late Franklin and C. Faith (Timms) Sherman, and resided in Acushnet all of his life. He was a member of the Long Plain United Methodist Church, Acushnet. He was employed by the Acushnet Highway Department until leaving due to illness in January of this year.
Mr. Sherman was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member, Past Commander and Quartermaster of the V.F.W. Thomas E. Tuttle Post 7329, Acushnet. He enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son: Daniel F. Sherman of Acushnet; a step-son: Robert Morango of Fall River; 2 sisters: Marilyn F. Amaral and her husband Arthur and Lorrie J. Pepin and her husband Dennis all of Acushnet; a brother: Thomas A. Sherman and his wife Carol of New Bedford; many nieces & nephews; and many grand nieces & grand nephews.

Funeral service Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the KIRBY FUNERAL HOME, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.

Interment in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
