Johnny Ray Billings, 70, of Tifton, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Tift Health Care. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery in Omega/Colquitt County. Rev. Joseph Crumley will officiate with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2, 2011, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, prior to the service.
Mr. Billings was born on November 4, 1940 in Colquitt County and was the son of Jim Billings and Dolly Mae Johnson Billings, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Ann Kovacik Billings; three brothers; and three sisters. He was a retired mechanic and, for the last 17 years, was a sponsor for A.A.
Mr. Billings is survived by one daughter, Patti Ann Billings of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, Curtis Billings of Tifton; and one grandson, Allen Stearns.
