Freddie Eugene Southern, Sr. 69, passed away Thursday June 30, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 21, 1942 in Chapel Hill N.C. The son of William Southern and Ethel Mae Kaiser Southern. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carolyn .
He was a retired custom craftsman. He was a Viet Nam veteran of the US Army and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Freddie is survived by his wife Carole Harris Southern married for fifty and a half years, three sons Gene (Tina) Southern, Chris (Jodi) Southern, Joey Southern, one daughter Sandy (Tommy) Linville all of Clarksville, one brother William Southern, two sisters Leona Southern of CA, Betty Southern Stultz of Highpoint NC, eight grandchildren Jason Southern, Heather- Linville Seay, Tara Linville, Tori Linville, Andrew Southern, Kierston Southern, Jacob Southern, Keith Southern, two great grandchildren Preston Linville and Shane Southern.
Visitation will be Tueday July 5, 2011 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:00 AM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Louder and Rev. E.G. Sims officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West, with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Ricky Wallace, Larry Albright, David Suiter and his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Neal, Larry Harris and Tommy Linville.
