Obituary

DEMPSEY, Jane, 58, of Bourne, born in Brighton (Jane Ford), passed peacefully June 29th. Is survived by her 'beloved & faithful pet, 'Emma'. The loving wife of Fred T. Dempsey of Bourne. Daughter of the late Edward and Jeanne I. (Desrosiers) Ford. Jane will 'live' in the memories of her daughters and son-in-law Jennifer A. and Justin Boughton & Kristin M. Champoux of Laconia, NH, as well as in the heart of her grandson 'Hunter' Boughton of Laconia. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Ruth Dzialo & husband John of Bridgewater, Joan Roache (fraternal twin) & her husband William of Norfolk. She'll never be forgotten by her nieces & nephews Karen Rich, John Dzialo, Brian, David & Jillian Roache. Lastly, fondly remembered by her many old friends at Verizon & her new found friends at 'Life Care Center' of West Bridgewater.

Jane graduated from 'Our Lady of Presentation Academy', Newton MA. and went on to become an Engineering Clerk at New England Telephone. She advanced in the company through the years to become a 'Construction Control Forman' and then on to become a 'FiOS' Engineer for Verizon.... She was an avid sports fan & long time citizen of 'Red Sox Nation'.... Jane was one of a group of wonderful women who knitted warm scarfs that were sent to our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan.... Loved flowers and paid close attention to her garden. You could count on her 'quick wit' & she always had a 'smile' in her voice... Janey loved music, always knew all the words to a song & was the 'happiest', when on the 'dance floor' or playing with her grandson 'Hunter'....

A wake will be held Tuesday, July 5th, from 3 to 7PM at the The Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, Sandwich MA. (Just off exit 3, RT 6, mid-cape highway).

Followed the next day by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
