Beulah Mixon Handley, 75, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, February 6, 2004, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, Irwin County. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Handley was born February 24, 1928, in Pulaski County, Georgia, to the late Keff Jackson Mixon and Julia Lewis Mixon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cecil Handley and two sons, Raymond J. Handley and Damon Cecil Handley. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Lowell Packing Company, Modern Fibers, Irwin Manufacturing, a former Lunch Room employee for Fitzgerald Junior High School, and also helped with Nick’s Chuck Wagon. She was a member of the Assembly of God faith.
Mrs. Handley is survived by: two sons: Darrell W. Handley of Nashville and Timothy L. Handley of Fitzgerald; three daughters: Darlene Hopson of Mystic, Blondine Patterson and Shirlene Evans, both of Fitzgerald; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
