Mr. Joseph Cicolini, age 74, of Tewksbury formerly of Malden passed away, Monday, June 27th, with his family by his side at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Angelina L. (Darrigo) and together they shared more than 49 years of marriage. Born in Orsogna, Italy he was the son of the late Felice and Madalena (D'Alleva) Cicolini.
Joseph was a retired foreman with the Laborers Union Local 22. He was a charter member of the Sons of Orsogna Social Club in Everett and he was also a member of the Arlington Men’s Club where he enjoyed spending time interacting with many friends over the years. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, playing cards and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. His greatest joy was to be with his loving family and he especially cherished being with his children and grandchildren who were his main focus in life.
Along with his beloved wife, Angelina, he is survived by their children, Joseph A. Cicolini and his wife Valerie of Methuen, Marlene LaCascia and her husband Rick, Philip Cicolini, Michael Cicolini and his wife Christina, all of Tewksbury. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and is further survived by his sister, Lucia Dragone of Italy, and many nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Friday, July 1st, at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. William Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., Boston Office, 330 Congress St. 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
