Obituary

Maurice L. Gagne, 93 of Third Ave, died Monday in North Bay Manor, Smithfield. He was the husband of Pauline V. (Muron) Gagne. Born in Roubaix, France, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Trenteseaux) Gagne.

Mr. Gagne was an electronics engineer for the State of Massachusetts for twenty years before retiring in 1985. He was a pioneer in the television industry and built one of the first sets in RI. He had his own TV Repair business and was instrumental in training others in this field. He proudly served in the US Army Air Force during WWII.

Besides his wife Pauline, he is survived by his daughter, Maureen Rutherford and her husband James of Alpheretta, GA, a granddaughter, Stacey Curtis and her husband Scott, and two great -grandchildren, James and Jennifer, and several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great -grand nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main Street, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10: 00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St, Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors , will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter 245 Waterman St. Ste. 306 Providence, RI 02906-5215 in his memory would be appreciated.
