Obituary

James Harvey, 91, of East Bridgewater, died Sunday June 26th in the Sachem Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, after a period of failing health. He was the beloved wife of Mary (Wilmot) Harvey.

He was born in Ludlow MA., son of the late James and Mary (Macauley) Harvey. James was raised and educated in Rockland.

At the age of nineteen, he joined the United States Army and was a Pearl Harbor veteran, spending 4 years in the Pacific during WWII.

James worked for New England Telephone now Verizon for 37 years.

In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his daughters Janice White and her husband Robert, Mary Jane Plouffe and her husband Paul, 3 grandsons, Michael White and his wife Joann, Shawn White, 1st Lt Matthew White of the USMC, 2 granddaughters Laura Voisine and her husband Shawn and Olivia Plouffe.

His services will be held on Friday July 1st at 8:45AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM in the St. Thomas Aquinas, 103 Center St, Bridgewater, MA. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 30th from 4:00-6:00PM.
