Obituary

George Warren Callbeck Jr., of Plymouth, passed away on June 27th at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Farquhar) Callbeck. Father of David Callbeck of Plymouth. He also leaves 3 grandchildren, Amy Callbeck Piper, David W. Callbeck and Todd James Callbeck and 8 great grandchildren. Born in Quincy to the late George W. and Augusta (Deneaur) Callbeck, George attended Quincy schools and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He worked at the Quincy Shipyard during WWII in the Coast Guard Reserves and later was an electrical engineer in Boston. He volunteered with the Dolphin Reserve in FL and HI, enjoyed photography and computers. He was a member of the Bonnie Seniors and was a Mason in Quincy. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 1st at 11 o’clock at the 2nd Church of Plymouth in Manomet followed by a burial at Manomet Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
