Obituary

Rocco L. “Rocky” Cacicio, a long-time Medford resident died Monday at the Bedford Veteran’s Hospital. He was 81.

Rocky was raised in the West End and Charlestown, the son of the late Augustino and the late Eileen (Sacramona) Cacicio. Rocky served in Korea with the Army during the Korean War. After the war, he earned his degree from Bentley College. Rocky settled in Medford after his marriage and with his wife Irma raised their four daughters. Rocky was a hard worker and provided well for his family. For many years he worked with the US Post Office. He was a member of the Medford Post of the VFW and was active at Saint Joseph Parish.

The beloved husband of Irma (Mirabello), Rocky leaves four daughters: Christine Adelizzi and her husband Robert of Bradford, Nanci Moon and her husband Mark of Methuen, Lisa Cacicio of Medford and Traci Cacicio of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Matthew, Kristen, Ashley, Jenna and Jaimie. He was a dear brother of Lena Doherty of Charlestown, the late Gus Cacicio and was the brother-in-law of Millie Cacicio of Medford. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday 4 – 8 and again Friday morning, July 1st, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
