Ellen Atkins Carlsen, age 76 of Clarksville, TN, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas, Nashville, TN.
She was born December 22, 1934 in Clarksville, daughter of the late Fred Atkins and Mallie McGregor Atkins. She was a member of Kenwood Baptist Church and was retired from Jostens.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Carlsen; four sons, Richard Sutton (Donna), David Carlsen, Richard Carlsen and Michael Carlsen (Anna); two daughters, Kim Sutton and Susan Zamudio (Zap); two brothers, Ken Atkins (Ellinor) and Freddy Atkins; two sisters, Ann Green (Stanley) and Kathryn Hurst; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 12 Noon, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., and continue until the hour of the service. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
