Ruth S. (Anthony) LeBlanc, 83, of Natick, passed away on June 27, 2011 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick. She was the wife of the late Raymond Thomas LeBlanc.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Edmund and Anna (Weidburg) Anthony, Ruth was raised in Newton where she graduated from Newton North High School in 1946. She went on to study at Colby Sawyer College and Lasell College. After settling in Natick in 1953, Ruth became a wonderful member of the cafeteria department in the Natick and Weston Public School Systems. She was dedicated and devoted to her family, the many students she cared for over the years, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan who also enjoyed working with ceramics.
Ruth was the devoted mother of Ann E. Toomey and her husband Patrick R. of Stoughton, Steven M. LeBlanc and his wife Maryellen of Stoughton, and Raymond J. LeBlanc of Framingham. She was the cherished grandmother of Patrick Daniel Toomey of Stoughton and the dear sister of Anne Anthony of Spartanburg, S.C. and Elizabeth Robbins of Tampa, FL. Ruth is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 5-8 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Glenwood Cemetery, 50 Glenwood St. South Natick.
