Susanne Parks Lowery, age 69 of Clarksville, TN, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born August 15, 1941 in Dearborn, MI. She earned her Associates degree in Business from APSU and was retired from the Federal Government. Susanne was a member of First United Methodist Church and was active in several organizations, including United Methodist Women, District UMW, Country Women Club, NARFE, and Red Hat Society Fun Lovers. She also volunteered as a tax preparer for Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her mother, Susie Price Parks Curtis, Howell, MI; husband, Dale L. Lowery, Clarksville; daughters, Loni L. Lowery Ward (Andrew), Clarksville and Lisa D. Lowery, Murfreesboro, TN; daughter-in-law, Wendy Lowery Corns, Logan, WV; brother, Eugene E. Parks, Lake Isabella, CA; two sisters, Mary E. Parks and Judy L. Novarece, both of Brighton, MI; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar M. Parks; son, Dale L. Lowery, Jr. (Pappy); brother, Barry Parks and a sister, Charity M. Sevigney.
Services will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11 a.m., at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Andrew Ward, Jr., Kyle Ward, Chase Grahl, Peter Lowery, Adam Ward and Samuel Corns.
