Obituary

TAUNTON – Annie L. (DeCosta) Goulart, wife of the late Matthew H. Goulart, Sr. died at Longmeadow of Taunton on June 26, 2011.
She was 91.
Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Perry Suite) DeCosta.
Raised and educated in Dighton, she moved to Taunton in 1940.
Mrs. Goulart was employed by both the Taunton and Raynham Dog Tracks as a gate admission clerk for over 30 years before retiring in 2002.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking for her family.
Survivors include three sons, Robert J. “Dicky” Goulart and his wife Beverly, David W. Goulart and his wife Darlene, and Richard A. “Skeeta” Goulart and his wife Corinne, all of Taunton; three daughters, Anna E. Medeiros, Andrea Butler, and Jo-Anne Guimond, all of Taunton, a son-in-law, Gordon Roderick of Taunton; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Goulart of Taunton; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Matthew H. “Skippy” Goulart, Jr., and Sandra M. Roderick; and the grandmother of the late Scott Medeiros.
She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, June 30th at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
