CHARLES W. “CHARLIE” HOPPER, 101, passed away on June 26, 2011.
He was a retired employee of Dahlem Construction, a 53 year member of Shively Masonic Lodge, and the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna E. Hopper, and his son, James Howard Smith.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Hopper (Ruby), grandchildren, Gregory Hopper, Carolyn Middleton (Rodney), James Daniel and David Allen Smith (Patricia); 8 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandson on the way.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. Wednesday.
