Jacquelyn "Jackie" Robitzsch Snowden, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Friday, June 24, 2011, at home.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 27, 2011, at 4 PM at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Mike Ruffin and Elder Ed McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Snowden was born August 9, 1923 in Ben Hill County to the late W.H. and Ava Smiley Robitzsch. A graduate of Fitzgerald High School, she attended Macon Business College. She was a former employee of Sunny Dale and was a member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald. She was a member of the Green Thumb Garden club.
Mrs. Snowden is survived by her husband, Frank Snowden of Fitzgerald, GA; daughters: Linda (Charlie) Gray of Hilton Head Island, SC and Mary Jane (Tom) White of Fitzgerald; sons: John Mann of Charleston, SC and Marion Mann of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Ava (Tim) Montgomery, Brian Spicer , Nichole Mann , Alan Mann, Justin Mann, Micki Moore, Alecia (Thomas) Barrett, Allison White, Jeremy Angel, Jennifer (Dagan) Sharpe; great grandchildren: Tyler and Paul Montgomery and Taylor Mann; and her caregiver and friend, Mae Wilcox of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion W. Mann, 6 sisters, and one brother.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church, Fitzgerald.
