Marlene H. Poole, 59, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Friday, June 24, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Poole was born June 18, 1952 in Riverdale, Michigan to the late Lowell G. and Frances Rusaw Helms. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1979 from New Port Richey, Florida. Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and a former employee of the Huddle House and Pizza Hut. She enjoyed crocheting and riding horses. Mrs. Poole was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Mark Poole of Fitzgerald; sons: Michael (Olga) Poole of New Port Richey, FL, William “Bill” Poole and J.R. (Lynn) Poole of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Amber Poole, Baylee Poole, Leslee McCard, Garrett McCard and Gaven Poole; brothers: Harold Olstrom of New Port Richey, FL and Don Olstrom of Michigan; sisters: Jean Porter of Grand Rapids, MI and Lois Miner of Front Royal, VA as well as several nieces and nephews.
