Margaret E. (Pasquarosa) Hayes, 87, of Medfield died June 23 in Norwood Hospital; she was the wife of Thomas J. Hayes.
Born in Boston, January 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Nicola and Albina (Giancola) Pasquarosa, Mrs. Hayes had lived in Roxbury for many years before moving to Medfield 39 years ago.
Mrs. Hayes had worked at the deli counter at Roche Brothers Supermarket in Natick for 27 years before retiring.
She had also been a waitress at the Boston Pops Concerts for 20 years.
Margaret enjoyed gardening and sewing.
In addition to her husband, she survived by her children, Thomas J. Hayes, Jr. of South Boston, Stephen M. Hayes and his wife Maureen of Medfield, Maureen Johannessen Russ and her husband John of East Walpole and Frank D. Hayes of Weymouth.
She was the sister of the late Esto, Carmen, and Frank Pasquarosa and Mary Olivere.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicole, Jason, Kyle, Maura, Margot and Michael and her great-grandchildren, Mia and Emmett.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, June 27 in the Ginley funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 11:00 a.m.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
