Mr. Loyd Willard “George” Cregger, age 57, of King, passed away unexpectedly on, Thursday, June 23, 2011. He was born on November, 20, 1953, in Bluefield, W. VA. to Loyd Thurman Cregger and the late Mary Hodge Cregger. Mr. Cregger was a security guard for Allied Barton and former corrections officer for the State of West Virginia. Mr. Cregger is survived by his wife, Kimberly Tuttle Cregger of the home; father, Loyd Thurman Cregger; two sons, Steven (Dana) Cregger of Spanishburg, W. VA and Adam Cregger of Pocohantas, VA; one daughter, Mary (Cole) Ledet of Landstuhl, Germany; one sister, Marty (Joel) Isenhower, of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Brianna Ledet, Madison, Ryan, and Justin Cregger; two special nephews, Sgt. Matthew (Ashley) White of Ft. Louis, WA and Sgt. Randall (Amanda) White, Jr. of Ft. Campbell, KY.; one brother-in-law, Curtis (Patty) Shelton of King; niece, Melissa (Keith) Brown of Winston-Salem; mother-in-law, Peggy Tuttle of the home; and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Cregger was preceded in death by his mother; one infant brother; and a sister, Carla Cregger. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Teddy Barneycastle officiating with interment to follow at Shady’s Place Cemetery. The family will receive friends on, June 27, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
