Obituary

James Maxwell, 89, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Louise H. (Cram) Maxwell, who died June 1, 2011. Born in Nova Scotia, he was raised and educated in Newton. He was a graduate of Northeastern University and also attended Virginia Polytechnical University. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Maxwell was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. He was the co-owner of Wynacht Brothers Leather Shop in Stoughton for many years, retiring in the 1990’s. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed baseball, football, basketball reading both autobiographies and history and Broadway shows.
He is survived by his children; David G. Gerardi and his wife Nancy of CO and Gwendolyn L. Gerardi of Stoughton. He was the brother of William H. Whynot of Stoughton, Jean Maher of Northboro and the late Kenneth Wynacht, Dorothy Rising, Helen Bonney and Marguerite Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Private family services were held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation Gift Processing Center, Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
