Sarah Frances Holt, 89, Clarksville, TN died Wednesday June 22, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
She was born June 25, 1921 In Nashville, TN, daughter of the late William B. Gambill and Josie Hester Gambill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George D. Holt, Sr. and a son George D. Holt, Jr.
She was a member of Hickory Point United Methodist Church and was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Dannie R. Holt, Clarksville; two daughters, Patsy J. Knox, Hendersonville, TN; and Bonnie H. Welch, Clarksville; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Hickory Point United Methodist Church Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Linda Thompson officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 PM at her home, 2324 Lock B Road N, Clarksville, TN and on Saturday visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will be in Hickory Point Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Knox, Jeff Knox, Paul Gossett, Danell Welch, Dannie G. Holt, Robert Miller, David Welch, and Jim Manning. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hickory Point United Methodist Church.
