Lorraine D. (McKenzie) Hollins, age 83, died Monday at her daughter’s home in Sandown, NH with her family at her side.
She was born and raised in Methuen, MA and she graduated from Mt. Carmel Grammar School, St. Mary’s High School and Bryant McIntosh Business School in Lawrence, MA.
She was the daughter of the late George & Jeanne (Tremblay) McKenzie. The sister of the late Jeannette McKenzie.
Music and singing were her passion. Lorraine sang with the Vocal Airs on radio, Merrimack Valley Sweet Adeline’s, the Happy Hearts Singers of Methuen Senior Center, and the choir at St. Anne’s Church in Hampstead. The most memorable singing performance was with St. Anne’s choir led by Cynthia Verrill in front of Pope Benedict in Rome. Lorraine enjoyed vacations with her sister and brother-in-law to Florida, Europe, and Foxwoods.
She is survived by 3 Sons:

David & his wife Patricia Hollins of Salem, NH
Kevin & his wife Kimberly Hollins of Salem, NH

Sister: Beatrice & her husband Richard Violette of Boynton Beach, Florida
9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews
Former husband Lindy Hollins and her beloved cat Noah and favorite dog Cody.
Calling hours will be held Friday, June 24th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
A funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, June 25th at 1 PM at St. Anne’s Church, Hampstead, NH. Private burial.
