Nancy J. (Zarella) Sciarappa, age 61, died Monday June 20, 2011 at Coyne Health Care Center in Rockland after a long period of failing health. She was born in Brockton on October 13, 1949 to the late William and Elvie Zarella. Nancy was a 1967 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Massasoit Community College. She had been employed as a nurse’s assistant, bank teller and a cashier.
Nancy loved Elvis, the Red Sox and the Patriots and gave her heart to Tom Brady. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and the holidays. She was a beloved mother and had the special gift of always making others feel good about themselves. Even though Nancy had endured health problems, she always cheered others up with her bright and beautiful smile. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She made the best of her life even after suffering a stroke at a young age. Nancy will be remembered as a strong woman in many ways.
Nancy was the loving and devoted mother of Jason P. Sciarappa and his wife Linnea of Charlton, MA and Johanna E. Breer and her husband Michael of Brockton. She leaves her cherished granddaughters Sophia and Olivia and was the sister of Debbie of Springfield and Marisa and William both of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her “Coyne Family”.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 3-6 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 8 am for a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church 403 Union St., Rockland at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
