In Taunton, June 18, 2011 Eleanor “Ellie” LongChase, age 64 passed away at home suddenly. Eleanor was born in Portland, ME. to her late parents Edwin & Emmaline (Desmond) Getchell. She has resided in Taunton since 1995 and was formerly of Manchester, CT. Ellie was a graduate of Paier College of Fine Arts. She enjoyed painting, artwork and cherished the time with her family. She was employed as a certified framer for artwork. Ellie leaves her children; Suzanne Berry & her husband Jim Parent of Scarborough, ME., Marc Berry & his wife Jenifer of Bowdoinham, ME. and Jason Berry & his wife Christina of Gardner, ME. and also the children’s father and Ellie’s first husband William T. Berry of Bowdoinham, ME. Her grandchildren; Andrew and Eric Parent, Austin, Tyler, Ethan and Emma Berry and Thomas & Alexander. Ellie also leaves her siblings; Mary E. Buttermore of Taunton, Margaret A. Linehan of Washington, Matthew S. Getchell of Florida, Martin J. Getchell of Springfield, MA. and the late Paul E., Edwin F., John D. and Mark A. Getchell. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, June 24th from 4-6pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA. 02780. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
