WORCESTER-P. Richard Barr, formerly of 32 Westmorland Drive, died Wednesday, February 4th in Memorial Hospital after an illness. He leaves his wife Marie (Hurley) Barr, his sister Mildred A. O’Connor and many nephews and nieces. 2 brothers and a sister predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Frederick W. and Joanna T. (Fleming) Barr. Mr. Barr worked as an installer for American District Telegraph for 45 years, until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Greendale Retired Men’s Club and was an avid golfer.
The funeral is Saturday, February 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass 10:00 AM in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral.
