Henry A. Parent, 90, of Westport, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Tremont Rehabilitation of Wareham. He was the husband of the late Muriel L. (Davis) Parent. Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Ludger G. and Albertine (Bonville) Parent. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the former Booth & Chase Water Front Construction Co. of Fall River as a steam operator. Mr. Parent was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and a retired supervisor of the U.S. Naval Base in Newport, RI. He was a member of the Noquochoke Lodge A.F. & A.M. and the American Legion Post #145 both of Westport. He is survived by a son: Roger Parent of Acushnet and Judy Sandland of Wareham; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 9-11 A.M. followed by 11 A.M. service at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport. A Masonic Service will be held at 10 A.M. conducted by the Noquochoke Lodge.
Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
