Joseph Carlton Pearson III, 67, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2011 at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born in Sydney, Australia to Joseph Carlton & Zoya (Vlasenko) Pearson Jr.
He was a Journeyman Machinist for the L&N Railroad and a Catholic by faith.
Joseph was a 1963 Manual High School graduate and graduated from the Lousiville Police Academy in 1974 and served on the Louisville Police Dept.
He was a Life Member/Benefactor since 1964 of the National Rifle Association.
Joseph also was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Joanne (Woods) Pearson; His children: Michelle Craig and her husband (Kent) and Mike Pearson and his wife (Theresa); 2 Grandsons: Paul & Joey.
Funeral service will be 12 Noon Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Visitation will be Monday
12 - 2 PM & 4 - 8 PM. Expressions of Sympathy: Humane Society.
