Obituary

DUDLEY – Jane A. (Heins) Devlin, 61, of Mill Street, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a short illness.

She leaves her husband of 35 years, Mark E. Devlin; a sister, Elaine L. Babcock and her husband Douglas; a brother, Arthur H. Heins, Jr., all of Webster; two nieces, Lynn Kwiecinski of Blackstone and Ann M. Peters and her husband Matthew of Webster; a great niece, Abigail M. Peters and a great nephew, Samuel D. Peters.

She was born and raised in Webster, a daughter of Arthur H. Heins, Sr. and Rita (Laramie) Heins. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1968 and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from the New England School of Accounting. She moved to Dudley when she married in 1976.

Mrs. Devlin worked for 35 years at the Hanover Insurance Company in Worcester, retiring as an investment manager in 2005. She was still working there part-time since her retirement.

She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church. She enjoyed sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Her greatest joy was taking care of her great niece and great nephew, and attending all their activities.

The funeral will be held Monday, June 20, 2011, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday, June 19, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to either the Jane A.
