Peabody: Elizabeth J. (Phillips) Clements, age 91 died after a lengthy illness on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover.
Born in Saugus and raised in Malden, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Edith L. (Wellington) Phillips. Betty spent most of her adult years in Peabody and Beverly. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, hand crafts, music, as well as card playing. In her later years she took delight in being known as the ‘paper girl’ for the Turtle Creek housing complex in Beverly. Betty will be missed by many.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail M. Crowley of N. Andover, and a son, Roy P. Clements and his wife Helen of Ipswich, 3 grandchildren, Michael & Todd Stevens and Jacqueline Clements, 4 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jared, Toni and Sydney as well as nieces and nephews.
