Hudson– Marjorie True (Kierstead) Dufour, 80, died June 14, 2011 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Tamworth on October 10, 1930 one of nine children to Thomas E. and Lillian M. (Brown) Kierstead.
She graduated from Westford Academy where she earned her nursing degree. She was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital, now Southern NH Regional Hospital in Nashua.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated Dufour’s Restaurant in Nashua. She was an avid baker, she also loved camping and bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur “Buster” Dufour in 1971, and a daughter Deborah Scales Little in 1981.
Family members include two daughters, Lynn G. Dufour of Ocklawaha, FL., Dawn Scales Theodore, three granddaughters, Wendy Little Guevin of Goffstown, Ashley and Alyssa, one great granddaughter, her pride and joy, Nicole Guevin of Goffstown, one sister, Faith Salvatore of Las Vegas, NV., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life for family and friends will take place on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Butter Cup Hill Community Center, 51 Webster St., Hudson, NH 03051.
J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in order to defray funeral expenses.
