In Taunton, June 14, 2011 Helen A. McClellan, age 92 passed away peacefully in Longmeadow Nursing Home following a period of declining health. Helen was preceded in death by her husband William F, McClellan. She was born in Taunton to her late parents Manuel & Rita (Coelho) Araujo. Helen has lived in Dighton the last eight years and is formerly of Taunton. Helen drove a milk delivery truck during WWII, she also worked at Raytheon Co. until retiring in 1973. Helen then bought and sold antiques setting up at various sales. Helen then worked at her family’s farm having barn sales, selling flowers and doing a u-pick tomatoes farm. Helen is survived by her children; William J. McClellan & his wife Joanne of Dighton and Jane Kern & her husband James of Swansea. Helen leaves step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Mary Dupont of Dighton and her late siblings; Manuel, Caesar and Joseph Araujo. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA. 02780 on Saturday, June 18th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment in the family lot at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
