Obituary

Mr. George T. Dargan, age 74 of Medford died Friday in the Golden Living Center in Melrose. He was the beloved companion of Kathleen Williams of Medford and the former husband of Alicia (Wadleigh) Dargan of Stoneham.
Mr. Dargan was born in Boston, son of the late George and Mary (Hurley) Dargan. He was raised in Cambridge and is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. A Medford resident since 1957, he worked as a real estate agent primarily in the Medford Community. In earlier years he worked for Risman Realty, later with Wolfson Realty and from 1985 until recently with Century 21 Realty. He had many interests including dancing and square dancing. He was the past president of the New England Regional Square Dancing Club, and a member of the Square Dance Academy. Mr. Dargan was an avid reader, member of the Medford Rotary, Knights of Columbus and the Malden Irish American Club. In earlier years he was a member of the National Guard.
He leaves a son: George Dargan II and his wife Cathy Manning of Worcester,
four sisters: Mariene Benoit and her husband Henry of ME, Lorraine Flaherty and her husband Paul of Melrose, Bernadine Wall and her husband John of Medford, Joan Dargan of London, England and a brother John Dargan of Melrose. Brother of the late Frances Hicks.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Friday at 9:00 AM. Followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church 118 High Street Medford at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Friends may call Thursday from 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
