Gerald “Hollywood” Grantham, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.W. Taylor and Teresa McDuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton. Visitation will be held 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Grantham was born March 26, 1950 in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Pete and Dorothy Young Grantham. He lived in the community most of his life and was a former resident of Ty Ty and McRae. Mr. Grantham was a truck driver. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church, collected old cars and was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his companion: Glenda Peters of Fitzgerald; daughters: Ruth Ann (Mark) Emerson and Stacey (Michael) Bostick of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren: Cameron, Corey, Kayla & Teresa Emerson, Brittany, Michael Gerald & Nicholas Bostick; great grandson: Grey Emerson; step children: Randy (Melissa) Peters, Tammie (Lee) Martin and Donna (William) Hutchinson; brother: David (Maxine) Grantham of Willacoochee; several step grandchildren; sisters: Lynette (Leonard) Griffin of Ocilla, Loretta (John) Fletcher of Sylvester and Jane (Howard) Griffin of Ocilla as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Pearl Grantham and two brothers, Billy Grantham and Rev. Roy Grantham.
