Lilly Ann Dorsett, 82, of Lanham, MD formerly of Danville died Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born November 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late, Richard and Chattie Mae Finney. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by one son, Barry Dorsett; a sister, Louise Hamlett; a brother, James “Ed” Finney.
Lilly is survived by her husband, Garland Lee Dorsett; a daughter, Valerie Dorsett and husband, Rick Lacey; a son, Carlton Dorsett; five brothers, Charlie Finney, William “ Bill” Finney and wife, Virginia, Monroe “Joe” Finney and wife Charmaine, Richard “Pete” Finney and wife, Mavis and David Cecil Finney; two sisters, Irene Hamlett, Mary Sue Garrett; six grandchildren, Eric and Jason Dorsett, Shannon, Patricia, Kelly and Katherine Fitzpatrick; a sister-in-law, Ida Mae Finney.
The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, June 13, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home, and other times at 1443 Delaware Ave. Eden, NC.
