Robert E. Claflin, 65

Robert E. Claflin, 65, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday June 12, 2011 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. He was the beloved husband of Susan A. Naugler -Claflin.
Born in Concord, MA on July 16, 1945, he was the loving son of Ethel G. (Dustin) Clafllin of Mansfield and the late Edwin F. Claflin, Jr.
Bob grew up and was educated in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. He was a retired carpenter and had worked for A.P. Whittaker & Sons, Inc. in West Bridgewater for over 15 years prior to retiring.
A member of the First Christian Church in West Mansfield, Bob had also served his country as a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
An avid fisherman, Mr. Claflin enjoyed doing carpentry projects and spending time with his adoring sons and his cherished grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his devoted sons Eric Claflin and Adam Claflin both of the Mansfield. The brother of Peggy A. Nelson of Illinois, he is also survived by 6 grandchildren as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday June 15th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 14th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
