Helen J. (Radulski) Sorensen, 99, died Friday, June 10, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Niels A. Sorensen. Born in New York City, she was raised in South Boston and a graduate of South Boston Schools. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1976, previously living in Lakeville for about 10 years. She was a member the Women’s Chorus of Krakowiak Polish Dancers of Boston and the Kosciuszko Foundation. She was an award winning rug braider and also enjoyed needlepoint. An animal lover, in her free time, she enjoyed traveling, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter Linda S. Donato of North Attleboro and her sister Olga Fennelly of Falmouth. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Walter Blumberh, Ann Babcock and Sophie McDonough. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, June 14, from 10 AM -12 Noon. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made for the treatment of homeless animals to the Lloyd Animal Medical Center, 1995 Washington St., Stoughton, 02072.
