Doreen A. Chadbourne, 76, of Knotty Oak Road, Coventry, formerly of Mapleville, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the widow of Arthur S. Chadbourne.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Iola (Payette) Broadbent. She had been a resident of Coventry for the past year and had previously lived in the Mapleville section of Burrillville for 26 years. She was an avid quilter and was a member of Blackstone Valley Piecemakers.
She is survived by her children: Arthur S. Chadbourne, III of Nashua, NH, Helena F. Siciliano of Framingham, MA, Edward R. Chadbourne of Mapleville, Paul D. Chadbourne of Pascoag and Mary A. Smith of Hope Valley, her seven grandchildren: Arthur “Chad” Chadbourne, IV, Kristin L. Siciliano, Paul D. Chadbourne, II, James a. Siciliano, Emily R. Chadbourne, John K. Chadbourne and Caiti Smith, and her brother, Robert Broadbent of Smithfield.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, 1231 Plainfield Pike, Johnston. Burial in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday 9-10am.
