Obituary

Donna Marie (Letner) Marion, 61, of Windham, N.H. and formerly of Natick, passed away on June 9, 2011 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.
Born in Salem, the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Dorothea P. (Lanno) Letner, Mrs. Marion was raised in Natick where she attended the Natick Public Schools and graduated from Natick High School where she was a member of the Competitive Speech Team. She earned her B.A. degree in English from U-Mass – Boston. Upon graduating from college, Mrs. Marion dedicated herself as a substitute teacher for a period of time in Natick and Salem, N.H. before beginning her career in the electronics manufacturing industry where she worked in assembly, inspection, and quality control with the Martel Electronics Company in Londonderry, N.H. for 23 years. She was currently employed at Data Ed in Salem, N.H. Along side her husband, Andrew, she was an active supporter of the National Exchange Club – New England District where she was a very active supporter of their child abuse prevention efforts. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who played an active role in the lives of her family and whose presence was well noted at their school, social, and sporting events and who acted as an “adopted” mother to many at those events. Mrs. Marion was a voracious reader who also enjoyed bowling and travelling.
She was the beloved wife of Andrew C. Marion, Sr. of Windham, N.H. with whom she shared 38 years of marriage; devoted mother of Andrew C. Marion, Jr. of Livingston, TN and Marissa J. Bean and her husband David of St. Peters, MO; cherished grandmother of Stephen D. Marion, Samantha M. Marion, Gage A. Marion, and Griffin D. Bean; and dear sister of Ralph L. Letner and his wife Elizabeth Carroll of Natick, Russell Letner of Palmer, and Donald Letner and his wife Karen-Marie of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Dell Park Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 2-5 PM.
