Obituary

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – Antonio A. DeDeus, husband of the late Rosa (Fernandes) DeDeus, died at the Port Charlotte Hospice House on June 6, 2011.
He was 86.
Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joao and Luisa DeDeus. Educated in Portugal, he later served in the Portuguese Army.
Mr. DeDeus moved to the US in 1969 and lived it the Taunton area until relocating to Florida several years ago.
He worked as chef for Lorenzo’s Restaurant in Middleboro and the Taunton Eagles Soccer Club for several years.
Later, he owned and operated Tony’s Market in Taunton until retiring in 1997.
He was a former communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton.
Survivors include a daughter, Filomena Sabino and her husband Jose of Port Charlotte; two grandchildren, John Sabino and Melissa Sabino, both of Port Charlotte; and several nieces.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, June 13th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 12th from 5 to 8 p.m.
