Obituary

Bronx, New York – Brother Richard LaRose FMS, and a former teacher at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence died Wednesday at Saint Patricks Nursing Home in the Bronx, NY.
Born in Lawrence, Brother Richard was the son of George and Blanche (Carpentier) LaRose. He was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s Grammar and Central Catholic High School, both of Lawrence.
Brother’s assignments in teaching, other than Central Catholic High School, include Reading, Ma., and Chicago, Illinois. He was a Brother in the Marist Order for more than 50 years.
Brother Richard LaRose is survived by his sister Sister Blanche LaRose, SCH, 4 nieces and nephews, Kathy Koslowski, Kenneth LaRose, George LaRose, and Sharon Ameen, a sister-in-law Kathleen LaRose, 9 grand nieces and grand nephews.
Brother LaRose was predeceased by his brother George LaRose.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial on Monday morning at 11 o’clock in the Marist Cemetery in Esopus, New York.
Friends will be warmly received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
